24Conference at Georgetown University, Washington DC

On 24th January, the Independent Expert, Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, participated as a guest speaker in the conference “After Roper v. Simmons: The Role of International Human Rights Standards in Administering Juvenile Justice in the United States”. The conference took place at Georgetown University and was promoted by the Inter American Commission on Human Rights, the National Juvenile Defender Center and the Georgetown University Law Center. Pinheiro spoke about international instruments and mechanisms of human rights protection and the global challenges of juvenile justice.
