18-19Expert group meeting on Criminal Justice Responses to Violence against Children: Best Practices and Innovative Solutions, UNODC, Vienna

The United Nation Office on Drugs and Crime organized an expert meeting on the functioning of the criminal justice system regarding how it deals with cases of violence against children. The experts discussed strategies to ensure that the judicial and security systems respond adequately to cases of violence against children, conciliating the need to protect the child victims from additional harm and the necessary procedures to ensure due process of law. The recommendations and the examples of interesting practices reported in the meeting contribute to the report preparation.
