FAWE is a pan-African non-government organization founded in 1992, whose goal is to increase access, improve and enhance the quality of education for girls and women in Africa. This edition of FAWE NEWS, which is a quarterly report produced by the organization, looks at the attitudes of teachers and parents towards girls’ education, the exclusion of women from Science (subsequently development), the roles that parents play in the education of their children, and girls’ participation and involvement in Sciences, mathematics, and technology (SMT).
