Some 10,000 children live on the city’s streets. From broken homes or extremely poor families, they often cannot find steady jobs and are at high risk of turning to drugs or becoming involved in crimes or other violence. The study analysis the causes and dynamics that lead to the phenomena (children working in carpet arts), simultaneously through objective indicators of the situation and through representation of concerned actors. Furthermore the dimension of the phenomena are evaluated and characteristics are analysed in order to get a profile of the children working in carpet arts.
